Bless This Brain - Blessed, well Dressed and Clinically Depressed

  • Mission Church 2435 East 17th Street Tucson, AZ, 85719 United States (map)

Bless This Brain presents: Blessed, Well Dressed and Clinically Depressed: An Evening of Reducing Mental Health Stigma in our Churches.

How do we begin to talk about mental illness in a way that blesses those who suffer in our midst? It starts with confronting the reality of the mental health crisis we face in our local churches. Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, etc... Christian's aren't immune.

Together we can grow in awareness and compassion

The speaker for the evening is Jared Carter, Executive Director of Bless This Brain, and a Christian who lives with Bipolar Disorder. Speaking from his own experience, he confronts the lingering stigma in our churches with humor, heart, and a desire to free people from the shame they carry as a result of their own mental health challenges.

The evening includes a Q&A session with Jared and Trish Carter. Trish is co-founder of Bless This Brain, and has lived experience with major depression and anxiety.

If interested in volunteering for the event, email us.
