We are very excited for you and honored that our church gets to be part of baptisms. Something we stress to the whole congregation is that baptism is not simply an outward expression of an inward reality (as is often said). It is that, but much more.

It is meant to be a reminder of your new identity (historically referred to as baptistic identity) that you live out of every day. Your baptism will be a physical reminder for you throughout the rest of your life, and your community is encouraged to remind of this in times of discouragement, struggle, and wandering of any kind.

Further, baptisms are a gift to the rest of the congregation, reminding all of us of the victory we have in Christ and how we can resist sin because of new life in Him.
