Christmas Eve - Redemption Tucson

Christmas Eve: 2020In a year that most of us never saw coming and has tested us significantly, we are more aware than ever of our desperate need for the peace that Jesus proclaimed and ushered in over two thousand years ago. We are thankful and excited to celebrate Christmas Eve in a creative and purposeful way that will help to shape our lives by fixing our eyes on Christ. Redemption Tucson is partnering with Mission Church to put on a joint Christmas Eve service that will have options for people to participate in person (outside or from the car) and live-streamed online.

We hope to demonstrate and proclaim the good news of Jesus in many ways through this service: Offering a place for people to join in a Christmas Eve service (perhaps for the first time), walking through the Christmas story in a very public space, and hiring/supporting many local companies who have been hit hard this year.

Important Details :
Date & Time: 12/24/20 @ 6:00pm AND 7:30pm
Place: The MSA Annex Festival Grounds (https://mercadodistrict.com/annex/)

What to Expect: The Service: Similar to our Christmas Eve & Good Friday services: 1 hour, with singing/readings/explanation, interspersed.

Christmas Eve Offering: We are joining with Mission Church by taking up a special Christmas Eve offering, above and beyond our Advent Offering, to support a local non-profit: Spaces to Learn: They help support under-resourced families with ways to foster the best possible learning environments in this difficult season.

Ways to Participate: Outside: We will be able to have 50 people per service inside the festival grounds, safely spaced out near the stage.  It will be cold, so bundle up and be ready to celebrate and sing along! From the car: We will have a large screen facing the parking lot, projecting the service, with audio through an FM station (drive-in movie-style). There is a spacious parking lot set up for this very purpose, right outside the venue.

Video, Livestream: If you prefer or need to stay home, we will have everything set up to still participate through youtube and/or zoom (stay tuned for the address).

TREATS: We are hiring Exo and Decibel Coffee companies to provide coffee, hot cocoa, tea, and cookies (no cost to you)! People will be wearing masks and gloves, delivering goodies to people's cars.
